Hills are a defining feature of India's natural beauty, from the snow-capped Himalayan peaks to the lush Western Ghats. Kerala is one such location where one may experience amazing beauty. This southern Indian state is undoubtedly a must-visit when it comes to hill vacations because it is dotted with some of the most beautiful hill stations. Even while the state is best known for the tea plantation town of Munnar, there are a number of other hill towns that are perfect for a peaceful and pleasant Kerala trip, including Wayanad, Vagamon, Idukki, Ponmudi, and Vythiri. The majority of these lovely hill station getaways are renowned for their lush greenery, sparkling lakes, and waterfalls in addition to their rolling green hills.
There are both short day hikes and longer hiking trails that take visitors through Kerala's small villages, allowing them to get a glimpse of the locals' simple way of life. In addition to that, these hill stations are home to both large and small tea and coffee estates, which further enhance the splendour of these already stunning locations. As a result, organising a vacation to a Keralan hill station is essential when visiting India.
Kerala, the Indian state in the southwest, is home to the well-known hill town of Munnar. It is located 1,600 metres above sea level and is well-known for its tea plantations, scenic beauty, and good weather all year round. A few of the well-liked tourist destinations in and around Munnar are the Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, Anamudi Hill, Eravikulam National Park, and the Tea Museum. Trekking, bird watching, and wildlife safaris are additional activities available to visitors. The best time to visit Munnar is from September to May, when the weather is pleasant and the hills are covered with greenery.
Popular hill resort Thekkady is renowned for its scenic beauty, wildlife sanctuary, spice plantations, and adventure activities. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to numerous species like elephants, tigers, wild boars, and sambars, is Thekkady's main attraction. Also, the sanctuary provides boat tours on the Periyar Lake, which are a wonderful way to see wildlife and appreciate the area's natural beauty. Thekkady is well known for its spice farms in addition to its wildlife sanctuary. For those seeking a mix of adventure, wildlife, and natural beauty, Thekkady is a great destination.
On the shores of Kerala's largest lake, Vembanad Lake, lies the lovely hill town of Kumarakom. The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, which is home to many different bird species, including migrating birds like Siberian cranes, is the major attraction of Kumarakom. Boat cruises around the sanctuary are available for visitors to experience the tranquil beauty of the lake and the surrounding trees while scouting for these lovely birds. The lovely backwaters of Kumarakom are another draw. Tourists can take a leisurely houseboat trip through the backwaters to take in the area's picturesque splendour and learn about the native way of life.
I enjoyed this mini-cruise on the Backwaters; the boat was very comfortable, attentive staff and delicious food.We were able to admire the magnificent scenery along the canals, enjoy the peaceful setting and observe nature, birds, trees, rice fields and residents living near the Backwaters. An unforgettable trip that I recommend to lovers of nature.
he chance to travel in the exotic state of Kerala along the banks of a beautiful river, surrounded by lush green vegetation was truly an amazing experience. The landscape was fully covered of thick forest and neighbouring the gorgeous waterfalls brings the real eternal joy. Thanks to the wonderful experience gifted by Tours In India.
I took houseboats and also canoe trip here and it was fabulous! Beautiful untouched nature with so much greenery and water canals all over like city streets and intersections. Also mango, banana and coconut trees on watersides… people transporting rice from the fields to the city with human power boats. Beautiful experience and professional level of service, totally recommended!
